Taking it all off: Bridal Boudoir

Hey Wedding Watchers!  I’m back!  Lets dive right in, shall we?  What is bridal boudoir?  Let me tell you something it’s not.  It’s not trashy or raunchy.  Bridal boudoir is a fun, beautiful and sexy trend among brides and makes the perfect gift or a bride to give to her groom.  Some of my clients debate on whether or not to do it.  I’m here to tell you that you should!  Why not?  I believe all women are beautiful, so why not celebrate yourself?  No you do not need to be a size 2 to do it.  I actually had a client say that she had to lose 50 lbs. to do it. Umm no you don’t.  Be confident; that alone is sexy.  Wear a beautiful piece of lingerie or nothing at all.

One thing you should think about besides what you should wear, is who will take these pics.  Easy.  There are PLENTY of skilled photographers who either specialize in boudoir or skilled photographers who really want to expand their portfolio.  One of my clients got her friend, who starting a photography business do her pictures.  It was a trade-off.  What’s important is that regardless of who you choose to take these pics, make sure you are comfortable.  Some brides like to get their soon to be groom in on it.  Sure, why not??  It heats things up a bit, and still done tastefully. Boudoir doesn’t necessarily have to be for just weddings.  Find an excuse to do it for a birthday or anniversary too.  So in a nutshell, DO a bridal boudoir shoot if it it something you’ve been considering, be beautiful and most importantly, be confident.  Until next time Wedding Watchers.
