10 Reasons why I love being a Wedding Planner

Why do I love being a wedding planner? I’m always asked this question, but I never get to answer it with enough detail.  I love the wedding industry.  Every part of it and all types of vendors involved on making your day magical! The wedding industry is complex and so much work goes into Pinterest worthy results.  Here are 10 awesome reasons I love planning weddings.

1. I’ll start with the most obvious perk about being a wedding planner — The People! Getting to meet couples, and the opportunity to know them.  I’m not just saying that either.  I love meeting new people in general, so this is the most enjoyable part. As a planner,  I spend a lot of time with my clients, so it is so important to have that amazing connection with everyone. When all is said and done, the connections that I make will alway remain.
2. The Vision.  I love seeing the ideas people have.  The color palettes, flower ideas, the gowns, and then being able to bounce ideas off of one another and listen to one another’s ideas is always a highlight.
3. Details and Design.  I love all details… from the big wow factors to the small surprises, the details make the difference in the overall design.

4. The Versatility.  Being a planner and doing design, gives you the versatility to create things that are different or unique to each wedding.  Each couple is different and so their weddings should be too!
5. The Vendors.  Along with getting to meet new clients, I love meeting new vendors.  Each are so different in their own way.  Getting the opportunity to see each work so differently is always a treat!  It’s such a reward to be able to combine our talents to make your day exceptional!
6. The Reveal.  I love the reactions of our brides and grooms when they finally get to see all the months of planning come together on their wedding day.
7. The Family.  Being someone who has strong family values, I love to meet mom, dad, siblings grandparents… everyone!  Their reactions to seeing the brides and grooms on the big day warms my heart.  We laugh and cry together… it’s priceless.  Then to watch everyone cut loose and have a great time is the best!
8. Coordinating.  Being able to take care of each couple is an awesome feeling.  To know they have absolutely nothing to worry about, and being able to relieve any stress they may have makes me (and my team) very happy.

9. Forever Friends. With every wedding that I have done,  remained friends with every couple.  I have even had the privilege to plan baby showers and be a part of another chapter of each journey.
10. Party Time! I love to plan all types of parties!! Do I love weddings, yes, yes I do, but I get to expand past the weddings and create magical experiences for anniversaries, birthday parties (fo all ages) and so much more!
